Staying Present to the Practice

The practice of our courage can be illuminating, jarring, joyful, and challenging all at the same time. I want to extend a gentle reminder to us all that this practice is simply this:

  1. Observing and listening to ourselves with curiosity, kindness, and self-compassion.
  2. Engaging our practice in small, consistent actions.
  3. Reminding ourselves—gently—that we are not alone.
  4. Showing up for ourselves as courageously as we show up for those in our care.

Being scared doesn’t mean we aren’t able to practice our courage. It means we ARE practicing our courage.

There is no need to push or fix. Practicing our courage is about listening, hearing, honoring, and trusting our inner wisdom and blending it with external strategic action to rise where we most desire in our potential and purpose This practice IS a practice. Release judgment, timing, fear, and rules. Stay present to where you are. Your courage will meet you there.
