JANUARY 7 - 13, 2018: 

BRING TO MIND THE LAST TIME YOU FELT VULNERABLE--IN LEADERSHIP OR LIFE--BUT TRIED NOT TO SHOW IT.

1. What has happened inside you for not showing it?

2. Imagine that moment of vulnerability again. Give yourself permission to soften into your original feeling. 

3. Receive yourself now the way you would have wanted in the original moment of vulnerability. 

4. Write down what you wish to remember in this moment that will support your practice of courage.

BRING TO MIND TWO PEOPLE IN YOUR COMMUNITY--IN LEADERSHIP OR LIFE--THAT CHALLENGE YOU TO BE MORE COURAGEOUSLY YOURSELF EVERY DAY? 

1. How would you describe these two people in a few words?

2. How specifically do they challenge you to be more yourself?

3. What is it about them that makes this possible? What is it about your mutual relationship that also naturally contributes? 

4. What is an example of a time they offered this challenge that really sticks with you? 

5. Do they know how much this has meant to you? If so, remind them. If not, tell them this week (live, virtual, letter, etc.)

6. Write down any piece of what you've learned from these two people that you want to embed in your practice of courage.

 

JANUARY 21 - 27, 2018:

WHO YOU ARE IS HOW YOU LEAD AND LIVE.

How we lead--in our careers, businesses, and daily life--is an authentic reflection of who we are. The way we show up in the world reveals itself in the small moments of our days as well as the larger-than-life experiences.

1. Take a thoughtful moment now to observe how you are showing up in leadership and life.

2. Breathe deeply. Observe your emotions, beliefs, and fears.

3. Consciously send appreciation to your spirit and self-compassion to your wounds as both rise up within you.

4. Jot down your genuine thoughts. What is serving you? What is not? 

5. How will you choose to consciously show up this week--in your leadership and life? 

 

JANUARY 28 - FEBRUARY 3, 2018:

BRING TO MIND THREE EXAMPLES OF WHEN YOU WERE DEEPLY CURIOUS. YOUR AGE, TIME, OR TANGIBILITY FOR EACH EXAMPLE DOES NOT MATTER. (These can be current day curiosities or those you've had since you were a child.)

1. Jot down what provoked your curiosity for each example. 

2. What resonates with you about each example even today? Notice any themes that may emerge.

3. Now take notice of your fear and where it held space in relationship to each example. Specifically, was fear present? If so, how did it play a role? If not, what contributed to its silence?

4. What can you learn from this reflection and apply to your current life and leadership today?

FEBRUARY 4 - 10, 2018: 

TAKING BACK YOUR STORY BEGINS WITH AWARENESS. TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO REFLECT ON THE FOLLOWING:

1. Where do I feel most disconnected to my story? Where is my story writing itself?

2. What external influences, people, or experiences have I allowed to be the authors of my story? 

3. Where do I feel most connected to my story? What is one action I can take this week to move my story forward in a positive way? 

4. What specific success in my leadership, life, or business would be a reflection of me taking back my story? 

 

FEBRUARY 11 - 17, 2018:

THIS WEEK'S PROMPT IS ABOUT MAKING FRIENDS WITH JOY. 

1. What is my current relationship to joy? If I don't have one, what is my current relationship to happiness?

2. What makes choosing joy difficult for me? What would support me in choosing with greater ease?

3. How can I be more mindful about choosing joy? 

4. Share these perspectives with a close friend or loved one this week as a support and accountability partner to your practice.

 

FEBRUARY 18 - 24, 2018: OBSERVE.

1. Close your eyes, take three deep breaths and go inward for three minutes. (No need to time yourself. Just three minutes-ish.)

2. What do you observe? Observe yourself as though you're watching someone else. 

3. What thoughts do you observe yourself having in this time? What emotions? What beliefs? What images or colors come forth?

4. Where do you feel tension? Where do you feel peace? 

5. Take three deep breaths again. Open your eyes. Jot down what you learned. 

 

FEBRUARY 25 - MARCH 3, 2018: SHOW UP THIS WEEK IN ONE AREA WHERE YOU DON'T FEEL READY. 

1. Name the area. How can you embrace showing up even when you don't feel ready? 

2. Share this intention with one trusted confidante for support and an empathetic ear as you practice showing up. 

3. Leaning on our courage looks a lot like leaning upon our values. So press fully into your values as you show up. 

4. What did you learn? What made you smile? What do you want to remember as you continue to practice?

1. What does the word integration mean to me?

MARCH 25 - 31, 2018: WHAT IS ASKING TO FALL AWAY? 

What is quietly asking to fall away in your life? A role, a career, a relationship, a community, a promise, a belief, a fear, an outcome? What is already tiptoeing out the door? What needs an invitation to fall away? What is no longer serving you and your highest good? What must be honored as it becomes ash? Take note in a way most meaningful to you.

APRIL 1 - 7, 2018: WHAT IS ASKING TO RISE?

What is quietly asking to rise in your life? What is calling you? In your inner being, your family, community, actions, beliefs? What is already building momentum in your spirit? What is rumbling within you? How is your inner voice speaking to you? What do you hear? What do you somehow just know? Reference these questions as you like and take notes however most meaningful to you. 

 

APRIL 8 - 14, 2018: WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT?

Our soul's calling is rarely loud until we turn toward love. Our fears, doubts, anxieties, and societal pressures--however loud or subtle they may be--distract us from listening to our inner voice with radical love. The root of the word radical is grounded. Quite simply, radical love means to love with a willingness to welcome all -- all people, experiences, emotions, and yes, our imperfect selves. To choose to welcome all is a deep practice of courage and a powerful step in our wholehearted integration.

What do you really, really want? As you explore this question this week, observe and welcome all with radical self-love.

APRIL 22 - 28, 2018: FOLLOW THE URGE OF YOUR SOUL

1. Get still in meditation this week and listen. This can be meditation of all forms -- just make it intentional

2. Where does your soul come alive?

3. If 'soul' doesn't feel like an attainable concept, exhale and simply listen to what lights you up inside. What makes you smile, laugh, and lean into your strengths? 

 

APRIL 29 - MAY 5, 2018: OBSERVE YOUR PRESENCE. 

1. Where do you struggle with presence? In your leadership, life, love, work, ....? Name it, own it, write it down. 

2. Do you tend to look to the past or look to the future most often? Own this too and write it down. 

3. Where are you often deeply present? Name it and love the hell out of this strength. 

4. There is no place more present than Mother Nature. Nature is our teacher of presence. What is your favorite part of nature? 

5. Jot down how you would like to be more present this week. Jot down what you know you must forgive--in yourself and others--to be more present. Then move on to the weekly exercise to practice.

MAY 13 - 19, 2018: FEEL WHAT YOU ACTUALLY FEEL.

The rendering of our wholeness -- the practice of integration -- is rarely easy. What we hold beneath rises to the surface. It is just plain difficult to lean into a sadness or sorrow we'd rather not feel. Or perhaps one we felt we had already buried and healed. Yet this is the work of integration. Mark Nepo writes of 'feeling all the way through' and I love this practice so much. Here is my own version of what he speaks of throughout his work. 

1. Close your eyes, breath steadily. You are safe in this reflective space. 

2. Allow your body to settle into comfort and stillness. Bring yourself to the present moment. 

3. What is the name of one feeling you carry of sadness or anxiety? Describe it to yourself in a whisper. 

4. Then describe it aloud again, a bit stronger than a whisper. Allow yourself to stay with this feeling, stay present to it. 

5. Describe it again and surrender to it. Allow it to wash over you and through you until its sting begins to dissipate. 

6. Open your palms and surrender this feeling now to the present moment. 

7. Allow the feeling to fall, as if it slips beneath your fingers. Let it fall, let it go. This is the beginning of peace. 

 

MAY 20 - 26, 2018: OBSERVE THE SCARS

Scars are a natural part of life -- they represent our showing up, our practice, our rises and falls, and our showing up again. 

1. Locate a scar in your story this week. This scar may be physical, emotional, or spiritual. 

2. Look the scar in the eye. Notice how it has healed. Notice where it may still be healing. Notice its renewing strength.

3. Take note of what strength within yourself has emerged throughout this healing. Carry this strength with you. 

4. Take note of what continues to heal too. Discuss with your healing professionals as needed. 

5. In your integration practice, commit to noticing and honoring your scars rather than dismissing or diminishing them. 

 

MAY 27 - JUNE 2, 2018: SEE BELOW

JUNE 3 - 9, 2018: COMMIT TO ONE THING

1. Take a moment to commit your awareness and action to one thing this week. It may be a theme, a focus area, or a particular next step in your integration practice that resonates most with you. Knowledge, skills, attitudes, or beliefs all apply. 

2. Commit to focusing on this one thing this week with deeper intention. Jot down throughout the week what you observe. 

 

JUNE 10 - 16, 2018: OBSERVE RESONANCE.

1. Practice listening to what resonates within you, offering you depth of purpose, lightness of being, and soul fire.

2. Jot down where resonance resides as you go about your week. Keep a journal, smartphone notes, or something close by to catch what rises up throughout your days. Then move to the exercise.

 

JUNE 17 - 23, 2018: GET STILL & CHOOSE COURAGEOUSLY. 

1. Take a moment to get still. Relax, roll your shoulders back. Get comfortable. 

2. Ask quietly. What is my one courageous thing this week?

3. What one action courageously moves me forward? What brings me further in my journey? 

4. Name it, write it down, share it with a loved one for accountability this week. Tell them why it's important. 

 

JUNE 24 - 30, 2018: COMMIT TO UNLEARN

1. Snag your journal and get still, perhaps in nature. What do you know you want to unlearn? 

2. Notice the language here -- what do you WANT to unlearn? When we begin with need, we subconsciously give room for the energy of lack to abide. What do you know, today, you want to begin unlearning? 

3. Take five minutes and free write all you desire to unlearn to deepen your service to your integration and your purpose. Don't edit yourself. Just free write what arises.

1. Prompt yourself this week by observing what follows I AM in your life. 

2. Notice the energy you feel when you say positive, affirming, self-compassionate words following I AM. Go ahead and practice with a few statements in this moment. I AM SAFE. I AM KIND. I AM LEARNING. I AM ABUNDANT. I AM AWARE. I AM WHOLE. 

3. Now notice the energy beneath your words change with the opposite. I AM TIRED. I AM STRESSED. I AM LACKING. I AM NERVOUS. I AM LOST. 

4. Focus on observing rather than on self-editing or judgment. Integration begins with conscious observation so simply take note of your I AM statements this week. Jot down what is useful, leave the rest. 

 

JULY 15 - 21, 2018: WHO DO YOU REMEMBER?

1. Return to your childhood. The earliest age you can recall. Describe who you remember. 

2. What do you remember about who you were then beneath all of the peer pressures and expectations?

3. What were you curious about then? What mattered to you?

4. What aspects of who you remember do you seek to become more of today? 

 

JULY 22 - 28, 2018: YOUR ABUNDANT SELF.

1. What abundance lies within you? This isn't about what you externally own, possess, or experience. When we integrate our inner abundance with our outer action, we magnetize to the people, places, careers, and adventures meant for us. 

2. How would you like to be more abundant within? 

3. What actions will you take this week to lean into your inner abundance as you strive for outer movement?

JULY 29 - AUGUST 4, 2018: DIVE INTO CONSCIOUSNESS

1. What do you love about your inner voice? What do you love about the voice of your body? What do you love about the quiet whisper of your soul?

2. How are you listening to your inner voice? And where are you ignoring it? In short, why are you ignoring yourself?

3. Get real with yourself for a moment. Deeply raw and real. Free write what wants to be spoken.

AUGUST 5 - 11, 2018: TAKE ONE ACTION

1. What action has been nudging you lately? 

2. What haven't you begun (or perhaps finished) that will support you in moving forward with greater integrity?

3. Name it. Name its purpose, the nudge, and why you've been procrastinating on it, if applicable. 

 

AUGUST 18 - 18, 2018: NAME IT ALL

1. Sit down in the quiet--nature if you can swing it--for 20 minutes and free write your honesty. Allow all that desires to come to the surface to come. Leave resistance behind. 

 

AUGUST 26 - SEPTEMBER 2, 2018: CULTIVATE PERSPECTIVE

When we are busy living our life, moving from one thing to the next, we can benefit from stepping back to acknowledge our progress and the depth of what we really have in this moment. 

1. This week jot down your perspective. The success, talent, experiences, responsibilities, adventures, and opportunities currently within your reach or in your day-to-day. Don't just 'think' about them; write them down to deepen the perspective.

2. What values are you exercising and integrating into your life on a day-to-day basis? 

3. What doesn't appear on this list that you'd like to experience? Move to the exercise below.

SEPTEMBER 9 - 15, 2018: INTENTION & ENERGY

  1. Have you been busy on projects, thinking of new activities, and ways to push a goal forward?

  2. Are the details coming together in your planning yet the sowing of actual seeds not yet happening?

  3. If yes, what is rising up in its place? Intention is fertile ground and something will grow where it resides. 

  4. Give yourself a moment to consider this before moving to the writing exercise below. 

SEPTEMBER 16 - 22, 2018: NAME THE INTEGRATION

  1. What deeper ‘knowing’ will you begin to integrate this week?

  2. How specifically will you integrate this knowing into your daily life? What resources are needed to do so well?

  3. What must change to make this possible and to be well supported in this integration?

  4. Name who needs to know to best support this integration. When will you share with them?

  5. How will you hold yourself accountable to this integration practice?

SEPTEMBER 23 - 29, 2018: INTEGRATE LIGHT INTO YOUR DAY

  1. What in your life brings out the light within you?

Habits can be a strong catalyst for our inner and outer abundance. Take an inventory of the key habits that come to your awareness over the course of this week.

  2. What habits in mind are serving me well? What habits in this area do I want to strengthen?

  3. What habits in spirit are serving me well? What habits in spirit do I want to strengthen?

  4. Of 1 - 3, what habits hold immense positive influence upon my life?

  5. Of 1 - 3, what habits hold immense power over me in ways that do not serve me well?

  6. What is one habit you’d like to build to support your body, mind, and spirit holistically?
